Alice & Jessiah
August 15-22, 2026 · Wiesbaden, Germany
Please join Alice and Jessiah from August 15-22, 2026 as we celebrate our wedding in Germany.
Please see below for the itinerary, which is subject to change. Most events are optional and are designed for you to spend as little or as much with the couple and family as you desire. No events other than the welcome BBQ and wedding are mandatory.
Alice’s Story
I was never the little girl who fantasized about her wedding, but after meeting Jessiah, I’d always pictured one thing: a backyard ceremony on the lawn of my childhood home in Wiesbaden. For me, there’s a memory at every street corner, a giggle at every forest stream, and a sliver of my childhood in the whisper of each tree. A wedding in Germany means far more than just A Wedding In Germany; it means a unity between my German and Canadian ancestry, a tie between my old and new family, and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to share a part of myself that I might otherwise never get to with all of my closest loved ones.
Jessiah’s Story
I want this wedding to be in Germany to not only honour Alice and her heritage, but to honour my own. My family comes from a village just one hour outside of where Alice was born, and where we will celebrate our love. A place of beautiful architecture and forests. A place that holds the very streets Alice walked to school on. Having this wedding in Germany allows me to show my loved ones the city my wife grew up in, and where my family ancestry lies. I want to bring people together to enjoy the simple pleasures of what Alice’s birthplace has to offer. I believe in taking care of the very roots that are not only in Alice’s bones, but my own. I feel very lucky to have this opportunity to share this with all of you.
Our Relationship
The two first met in 2010 at a Kitchener house party. Alice always being the type to know what she wants and go after it, did just that with the funny and cute Mennonite boy, pinning him against the brick wall outside so he could get acquainted with her braces. It wasn’t until 2018 that they crossed paths again at multiple art shows, Jessiah often being the reason Alice profited at all. The couple dated 2018-2020, took a year to grow separately (which just happened to result in them growing back together), and have been locked in since 2021. On August 17, 2024, Jessiah proposed to Alice on a mountain top near Pitt Meadows, BC. On August 18, 2026, they’ll tie the knot in Germany.
